VA 1394 PROCESS
Tempe Mobility will accept VA 1394 grants for approved Veterans
providing the following process is followed:
Mobility must be advised at sale submittal the VA 1394 grant
will be used
- A copy
of the VA approved mobility dealer work order must be scanned
and emailed or faxed to Tempe Mobility prior to contract preparation.
- A copy
of the completed VA 1394 grant (except Veteran signature)
must be scanned and emailed or faxed to Tempe Mobility prior
to contract preparation.
Dealers must supply Tempe Mobility with VA contact information
for verification of eligibility. On VA 1394 grants this includes
the approving hospital/prosthetics officer and regional payment
Mobility must review and approve all required documents prior
to chassis being delivered to the Veteran.
- The dollar
amount listed on the VA 1394 grant to be paid must match the
“Handicap Conversion” price listed separately
on our contract. We will not accept grant assignments on conversions
we do not have on consignment.
- At delivery
the mobility dealer must submit the completed VA paperwork
for payment processing immediately to the VA.
- At delivery
the mobility dealer must have all documents signed (including
VA 1394), proof of insurance and the balance of payment due
sent to Tempe Mobility before we will process the deal or
- The VA
1394 grant must have box “11A” (Automotive Dealer)
checked for payment. Payment must be assigned to Tempe Mobility
for Arizona contracted deals. You must include our mailing
address for the appropriate store and completely fill out
the grant is submitted and eligibility is verified by Tempe
Mobility with the appropriate VA office, title work will be
processed in the Veterans name. Tempe Mobility will record
our lien on an Arizona title for the amount listed on the
grant and our contract. At the same time Tempe mobility will
pay off the wholesale dealer cost of the conversion directly
to the converter involved.
the 1394 payment has been received from the VA Tempe Mobility
will send a lien release to the Veteran or their lender depending
on legal requirements. Tempe Mobility will then refund to
the submitting mobility dealer any additional dollars paid
by the VA and due to the mobility dealer once dealer wholesale
conversion cost has been backed out.
- The mobility
dealer will continue to accrue a daily consignment fee charge
on the wholesale amount of the conversion until Tempe Mobility
receives full payment from the VA.
